Mother from Denton Arrested for leaving 2 kids unattended at home

A mother from Denton, Texas, was arrested earlier this week after leaving her two young children home alone while she went to a nearby store. According to the Denton Police Department, the woman, whose name has not been released, left her 3-year-old and 6-year-old children unattended for over an hour. Concerned neighbors reportedly contacted authorities after hearing the children crying from outside the home.


When officers arrived, they found the two children unharmed but visibly distressed. The mother returned shortly after and was taken into custody. She faces charges of child endangerment, which could result in severe legal consequences if convicted.


Child Protective Services has since stepped in, and the children are temporarily staying with relatives as the investigation continues. Denton Police urge parents to seek safe childcare options, stressing the potential dangers of leaving young children unattended, even for short periods. 


This case serves as a reminder of the importance of ensuring children's safety and well-being, even during routine errands. Authorities continue to investigate the situation to determine if further actions are necessary.
